Some big feature updates

Slater is leveling up to our first full V1 release and introducing paid plans to support our platform's continued growth. Additionally, to reward our dedicated builder community, we are launching Slater Advocates, a way to say thanks with sponsored accounts, merch, and more.

As Slater graduates from its Beta phase, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our community. Your unwavering support and feedback have been instrumental in reaching this significant milestone. Here's a snapshot of our journey so far:

In just a short few weeks, the Slater community has grown to over 1,000 registered users, with hundreds using our platform daily. This dedicated user base has been instrumental in providing valuable feedback and has subjected our platform to rigorous testing. The unwavering support from this amazing community has led to hundreds of incremental improvements, further enhancing the Slater experience for everyone.

What does this mean for people who have built things on the free program but aren’t ready to Upgrade? Rest assured, even as we transition, you'll retain access to all your existing projects and can update them as needed.

We have two simple ways to work with Slater:

Slater Playground (Always Free):

  • Publish to Staging Webflow.io
  • Individual Space
  • Global Library
  • 100 Chat GPT 3.5 Ai Messages per user per rolling month (turned off when user has more than 100 messages in trailing 30 days)
  • Access toGlobal Library

Slater Pro ($10 USD/mo):

  • Publish to Staging or Production
  • Team Space
  • Personal & Global Library
  • Personal & Global Library
  • Unlimited Ai Messages (GPT 3.5 or 4)

Note that if you are on the free plan and have have published sites to production, the current production javascript will not change so there will be no impact to live sites. However, users won’t be able to update and save to production. They’ll see a Upgrade button in the save to production dropdown. (This is probably the most controversial update)

Anyone that has a team space but in beta will no longer be allowed to invite team members but the current team members won’t change.

Introducing: Slater Advocates

Our community is our strength, and recognizing its immense value, we're thrilled to launch the "Slater Advocates" program. This initiative is designed to reward those who enrich our community with educational and inspirational content.

In line with our ethos of community collaboration, we continue to seek feedback to refine our offerings. While we'll be rolling out more specifics soon, here's a glimpse into how you can contribute and earn rewards:

  • Articles
  • Videos
  • Cloneables
  • Competition Entries
  • Slater Spotlight Sessions
  • Code Snippets

Accumulated points can be redeemed for perks like free workspace plan access, exclusive merchandise, and more. We'll be sharing more details in the upcoming weeks, so keep an eye out!

LFG!

Slater's journey, from its inception to this significant transition to V1, has been nothing short of remarkable. This evolution is a testament to the power of community collaboration, feedback, and shared vision. As we step into this new chapter, we remain committed to delivering excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring that Slater continues to be a platform where creativity thrives.
